SUTTON Wellesley W. Hatfield Jr., 67, of 2 Dodge Lane, was stricken at home Sunday, April 15th after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 49 years, Joyce B. (Charland) Hatfield; five children, Michael W. Hatfield of Sutton, Denise R. Clinton of Worcester, Wellesley W. Hatfield III of Worcester, Ruth C. Hatfield of Sutton and Roland L. Hatfield of Worcester; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. He was born in Worcester, son of Wellesley W. Hatfield Sr. and Ruth C. (Jansson) Hatfield.
He was a working manager of diesel trucks at Garelick Farms in Franklin before he retired. He had a passion for wood working and did furniture and clock reproduction. He was a ten year Marine Corps veteran and proudly served his country in Lebanon and the Vietnam War.
Funeral services and burial were private. Mulhane Home for Funerals, Millbury assisted the family with arrangements.
