MILLBURY – Wesley R. Army, 86, died Sunday, April 15th in his home, after being stricken ill.
He leaves two sisters, Elaine E. Berthiaume of Auburn and Gail and her husband, Earl Matthews of Millbury; a sister-in-law, Betty Army of Millbury; two nieces, Theresa Charpentier and Christina Army; five nephews, Donald Army, Paul Army, Paul Berthiaume, Philip Berthiaume and David Berthiaume; several grand nephews and nieces. He was born in Millbury and is predeceased by his parents, Napoleon E. and Delia E. (Chase) Army and two brothers, Donald and Larry Army.
Wesley worked for the Department of Public Works in Millbury for many years, retiring in the early nineties and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a pilot, owning his own plane and was a remote control enthusiast and a member of NRA.
Family and friends will honor and remember Wesleys’s life by gathering for calling hours on Thursday, April 19th from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, in Millbury. Burial will follow the calling hours at St. Brigid Cemetery in Millbury. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
