MILLBURY William M. Ashton, 69, of 33 Wilson Ave., Spencer, formerly of Millbury, died Saturday, Oct. 23rd in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.
He leaves his wife, Dori L.(Benoit) Ashton; two daughters, Robin A. wife of Steven Duca of Delray Beach, FL and Lorrie A. wife of Francis J. Thompson of Millbury; a sister, Sally F. Maccini of West Palm Beach, FL.; four grandchildren, William and Eben Thompson and Julia and Olivia Duca. He was born in Worcester son of William G. and Audrey (Horne) Ashton and he lived in Millbury most of his life. He graduated from Millbury High School.
Mr. Ashton was maintenance director at Holmes Transportation in Framingham and was involved in sales for Spring Rebuilders in Worcester, before he retired. He was a former Captain in the Millbury fire department of Engine #2 and also served as Millbury fire Chief.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28th in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial and Honor Program, St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tn. 38105-1942 (on line contributions
