MILLBURY – William P. Berthiaume, died August 10, 2022 at the age of 69. He was a lifelong resident of Millbury.
William was predeceased by his father, William A. Berthiaume and his mother, Theresa (Stockwell) Berthiaume. He leaves behind a sister, Susan (Berthiaume) Bernard and her husband, Paul of Millbury and a brother, Barry Berthiaume and his wife, Deborah of East Douglas. He also leaves behind a niece, Arianna Bernard of Millbury and two nephews, Jason Berthiaume of Ipswich and Nathan Berthiaume of Oklahoma.
He graduated from Millbury High School and Stockbridge School of Agriculture. William founded his business Suburban Tree Care. “Tree” was his nickname and he was well known for his work on saving mature trees in Millbury as the town’s Tree Warden. He also worked with the elementary school students every year on Arbor Day to introduce them to the environment by planting tree seedlings. Prior to retirement he worked for the highway department in Millbury.
“Tree” was a free spirit, avid outdoors man and dedicated deer hunter. He enjoyed striped bass fishing and lobstering at East Sandwich on Cape Cod.
In accordance with Bill’s wishes there will be no services.
