MILLBURY – William Haley, 64, died Sunday, March 22nd at UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, after being stricken ill at home.
He leaves his wife of 45 years and his soul mate and best friend, Roseann M. (Turner) Haley: three children, Laura wife of Keith Orphin of Manchaug, Lynn wife of Raymond Bernard of Northbridge and James and his wife Brenda Haley of Holden; seven grandchildren, Corey Bernard, Logan Bernard, Makaela Bernard, Benjamin Orphin, Nicholas Orphin, Alexis Haley and Tyler Haley. He was born in Milford, son of John and Lillian (Connolly) Haley.
William worked at the former New England High Carbon Wire Co. in Millbury and then at UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. He loved fishing and camping and was a long time member of the Singletary Rod and Gun Club. He was an avid animal lover.
Calling hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 27th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 28th in Fairview Cemetery in South Grafton. Memorial contributions may be made to Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St. Worcester, MA 01606.
