WORCESTER - William A. Hoye Sr., 69, formerly of 425 Pleasant St., and Millbury, died Wednesday, March 5, in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus, Worcester.
His leaves a son, William A. Hoye Jr. of Millbury; a daughter, Cindy J. Tyo of Wrentham; a brother, David Gustafson of Boston; five grandchildren; his former wife, Kathleen (George) Hoye of Worcester; nephews and nieces. His first wife, Agnes V. (Ringgard) Hoye Nideur; two brothers, Stanley and Robert Gustafson predeceased him. He was born in Worcester son of, Evert J. and Jennie H. (Davis) Gustafson and lived in Millbury before moving to Worcester in 1982. He attended Worcester boyTM)s Trade High School in Worcester.
Mr. Hoye was a wire drawer at Worcester sire Company for 17 years. He then worked for the City of Worcester Parks Department for six years, retiring in 1995. He was an Army veteran during the Korean War.
He was a life member of the Charles F. Minney Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Millbury and the Auburn Elks in Auburn.
