MILLBURY - William Kurkiewicz 71, passed away peacefully with family at his bedside on Tuesday March 1, 2022. He has now joined his beloved wife Norma who passed in 2019.
William leaves his son Ryan Kurkiewicz of Millbury; he treasured the years he had with Ryan and spoke proudly of his accomplishments. William leaves his siblings, Teresa and Cecil Stone of Florida; Stanley and Patricia Kurkiewicz of Worcester; Mary Kurkiewicz of Southbridge; Annette and Akrapon Sangkhum of Shrewsbury; Christine and James D’Alessandro of Shrewsbury and many nieces and nephews. William was born in Bad Reichenhall, Germany a son of the late Franciszek and Wanda (Paluch) Kurkiewicz; and is predeceased by two brothers, John Kurkiewicz of Texas and Jozef Kurkiewicz of Dudley and a sister Barbara Kurkiewicz of Worcester.
William’s life journey took him on various paths of work and adventures. William went to St. Mary’s School and was a member of the White Eagle Polish club in Worcester. In William’s younger days he enjoyed sports, especially softball and loved going fishing with his family and friends. Many memories were made during gatherings for game nights, playing cards going to the movies and enjoying holiday traditions with loved ones. We will all miss William deeply and may he rest in peace.
His Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street in Worcester on Friday, July 22nd at 10:30 am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
