MILLBURY – William "Willy" J. LaCrosse, 66, died Monday, March 1st in UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, surrounded by his family.
He leaves his wife, Elaine C. (White) LaCrosse; a daughter, Julie M. Balkus and her husband, Peter; a son, Keith E. LaCrosse and his wife, Vicki all of Millbury; four grandchildren, Victoria, Brittany, Brian and Erika; a brother, Robert LaCrosse of Millbury; a sister, Gloria Gauthier of Oxford; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, Edward A. and Mary (Lynch) LaCrosse; three brothers, Edward F., Charles, and Donald LaCrosse; eight sisters, Evelyn James, Dorothy Minney, Eleanor Lynn, Elizabeth "Liz" Riedle, Barbara Gary, Rita Kozaria, Bernice Pomerleau, Mable Stockwell and Margaret Stockwell .
William owned and operated Bill's Auto and Tire Center for 16 years. Most recently he worked for Gatehouse Media in Framingham, before he retired in January of last year.
His calling hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 4th followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
