William F. Liberty, Sr, 83, died Saturday October 26, 2013 in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
His wife of 65 years, Dorothy J. (Cutting) Liberty died in March of this year. He leaves a daughter, Nancy L. Pegler and her husband, George Pegler, Jr. of Downingtown, PA; a son, William F. Liberty, Jr. and his wife, Sharon Liberty of Worcester; a sister-in -law, June Clark of Worcester and her children. William was the son of the late William and Blache (Lagesse) LaLiberte. The family would like to give special thanks to Bill's niece, Laura Clark Luna, for all her care and support of Bill.
William attended the Worcester Boys Club in 1937. He graduated from Ecole Saint Joseph's School, in Worcester. He was a US Naval veteran and was a member of the Devoe-Taylor American Legion Post #9. Bill and Dorothy settled in Millbury in 1956. He continued his education, and graduated from the RCA School in NY, after working for Radio Maintenance and in various sales positions; he became a Registered Master Radio and TV Technician for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He worked for the State Police in Holden until his retirement.
Bill's funeral will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 29th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton Street in Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester. Calling hours are 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28th in the funeral home.
