MILLBURY William A. Remuck, 70, of 21 Linda Ave., Millbury and Leesburg, Florida, died Friday, Feb. 20th in his Millbury home, after an illness.
His wife of 45 years, Carol R. (Paravano) Remuck died in 2002. He leaves a daughter, Joyce C. Quist of Millbury; two brothers, Thomas L. Remuck of Millbury and Gordon P. Remuck of Oak Hill, Florida; a sister, Gale S. Davis of Millbury; three grandchildren, Alaina J. Youngsma of Auburn and Joseph and Jessica Remuck of Northbridge; a close campanion, Alma Butler of Leesburg, Fl.; nephews and nieces. A son, William J. Remuck predeceased him. He was born in New Bedford, son of William and Dorothy (Anderson) Remuck and was educated in the Millbury public schools.
Mr. Remuck was a barber during the 1960TM)s at the Academy Barbershop in Worcester. He then became a firefighter with the Worcester Fire Department in 1967 and worked there until his retirement in 1996. He also worked at the Worcester Ecoterium as the train engineer and was an Air Force veteran during the Korean War. He was a member of the Canal SportmanTM)s Club in BuzzardTM)s Bay and was an avid fisherman, a champion pool player and he enjoyed auto mechanics and playing the guitar.
Calling hours are Monday Feb. 23rd from 5 to 8 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. Burial will be private in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Memorial contribution may be made to the Canal SportsmanTM)s Club, % Frances R. Hull, 40 Woodland Park #8, P.O. Box 548, Troy, N.H. 03465-0548.
