MILLBURY William G. Whitten, 60, of 64 South Oxford Rd., died Wednesday, Jan. 12th in his home after a long illness.
He leaves his wife, Kathleen J. (Hines) Whitten; three children, William G. Whitten Jr. of Hopedale, Christine J. Dion of Uxbridge and Michael R. Whitten of Sutton; three brothers, Paul F. Whitten of San Diego, CA, C. Tracy Whitten of Auburn and Richard A. Whitten of Auburn; three sisters, Elizabeth M. Berthiaume of Auburn, Carolyn J. Stohlberg of Florida and Ruth N. Majewski of Warwick, RI; three grandchildren, Michael T. and Steven C. of Uxbridge and Jarid P. of Sutton; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of Charles F. and Clemence (Grandchamp) Whitten and has lived here all his life.
Mr. Whitten was Vice President of Finance for Central One Federal Credit Union, where he worked for 21 years. Previously he was a financial institution auditor for Main Hurdman, where he worked for 17 years. He was a Past Director and board member of the Worcester Chapter Credit Union League of Massachusetts.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16th in the North Uxbridge Baptist Church, 5 East Hartford Avenue, North Uxbridge. Burial will be private in West Millbury Cemetery, West Millbury. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Ethan Brian Rossi Fund, in care of Fleet Bank c/o Ethan Brian Rossi Fund, 1065 Lexington St., Waltham, MA 02452. Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury is assisting the family with arrangements.
