MILLBURY- Yvonne M. (Gemme) Beaudoin, 96, known for her loving nature and grace, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025 in Milford Hospital surrounded by her family.
Yvonne was born November 1,1928, the daughter of Louis and Alma (Bourassa) Gemme. She was born and raised in Millbury and graduated from Assumption Parish School.
Yvonne married the love of her life, Francis, in 1950 and lived in Millbury, where they built their home together and raised their 5 children.
Yvonne leaves her children Dianne, wife of William Philbrook of Sutton, Dennis Beaudoin and his fiancé Nancy Recore of Worcester, James Beaudoin and his wife Margaret of Millbury and Denise wife of John Krula of Sutton, fourteen grandchildren, Michael Philbrook, Michelle Ouellette, Nicholas Philbrook, Melissa Ulliani, Steven Philbrook, Patrick Beaudoin, Robert Beaudoin, Russell Beaudoin, Ryan Beaudoin, David Beaudoin, Katelyn Beaudoin, Jonathan Beaudoin, Victoria Iwaniuk and John F. Krula Jr.; sixteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband Francis R. Beaudoin, her daughter Marie Beaudoin, her parents Louis and Alma Gemme, her seven brothers Louis J. Gemme, Brother Omer R. Gemme, Arthur J. Gemme, Roland J. Gemme, Joseph P. “Pete” Gemme, and Raymond G. Gemme, and four sisters, Alice M. Valois Despard, Blanche A. Leclair, Dora A. Asselin and Lillian J. Asselin.
Yvonne was a chaperone for the Powers Star Harmony and Millbury Girls Fife and Drum Corp, a den mother to the Cub Scouts, Assumption Church Parents Guild, member of the Assumption Choir, Assumption Ladies Guild, worked at the Millbury Center School on Providence Road serving school lunches and worked at Paul’s Center Bakery in Millbury.
Yvonne loved traveling, sewing, crocheting, fishing, gardening, woodcarving birds, and painting on slate. She loved Cape Cod and Maine but mostly loved her time spent with family, babysitting her grandchildren, country music and the Patriots football games.
Family and friends are invited to remember and celebrate Yvonne’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Friday, March 28th from 4 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals 45 N. Main Street, Millbury.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 29th at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Assumption Church, 12 Waters Street, Millbury. Burial will follow in Central Cemetery, Millbury. Those attending the Mass are asked to go directly to the church.
