MILLBURY – Richard Wilson, 61, died Friday, Feb. 11th in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, after a long illness.
He leaves his former wife and best friend, with whom he lived, Diane S. (DeBoer) Wilson; his two faithful companions, Trouble and Chewy; a step-daughter, Tammy Putnam of Millbury; two brothers, Robert "Willy" Wilson Jr. and his wife, Eleanor of Douglas and David Wilson and his wife Sandra of Argyle, NY; a sister, Theresa Greene of CT; three grandchildren, Tianna, Madysn and Morgan; nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Angelina (Hemmingway) Wilson, a son, Richard P. Gordon; two step-sons, David Putnam and Robert Hebert; two sisters, Barbara Chouinard and Florence Peck.
Richard worked at the Felters Company for 24 years, Baystate Abrasives for 4 years and for the Millbury School Department for 2 years, before he retired. He was on the Executive Board at Felters Company for 18 years and a financial advisor for 4 years. He was a Union Stewart at Baystate Abrasives for 4 years.
His memorial calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 13th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Overlook Hospice Service, 88 Masonic Home Rd., Charlton, MA 01507.
